Families of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) hold Waso robes offering ceremony for 2021

Waso robes offering ceremony of the families of  Office of  the  Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) for 2021 was held at the Anawrahta Hall of the Office of the  Commander-in-Chief (Army) this morning. Chairman  of  the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presented Waso robes, offertories and day meal. Present  at  the  ceremony were 18 invited members of the Sangha including Ovadacariya Sayadaws of  Uppatasanti Pagoda led by Sayadaw Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Janinda, the chief principal of Paukmyaing monastery, Leway, Nay Pyi Taw. 
The Senior General was accompanied by Vice Chairman of the Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Ar-my) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, SAC members General Mya  Tun Oo, Admiral  Tin Aung San, Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dway, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, union ministers, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and officials.

First, the Senior General paid homage to Buddha Image in the Anawrahta Hall and offered meals in the emerald bowl and flowers, water and lights.The Waso robes  offering ceremony was opened with the recitation of namo tassa three times. Paukmyaing Sayadaw administered the Nine Precepts. Then, Sayadaws recited pa-rittas including Metta Sutta. The Senior General presented Waso robes, offertories and day meal and desserts to the Paukmyaing Sayadaw.

Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General presented Waso robes, offertories and day meal and desserts to Mahathihanada Sayadaw, and the SAC members General Mya Tun Oo, Admiral Tin Aung San, Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dway and attendees presented Waso robes, offertories and day meal and desserts to Sayadaws.Paukmyaing Sayadaw delivered a religious sermon and the congregation shared the merits gained. The ceremony ended with the recitation of Buddha sasanam ciram  tithatu three times.
