Remains of Sayadaw Bhaddanta Pannajota of Theravada Buddhist Missionary Monastery in Twidain Village, Mindat Township, who was burnt to death by terrorist insurgents, found

A news report on the Principal Sayadaw Bhaddanta Pannajota of Theravada Buddhist Missionary Monastery in Twidain village, Mindat Township, Chin State who had been missing since 4 June when he was driving the monastery-owned Nissan Note car alone to Haka to sit for the government-sponsored Pahtamapyan examination there on 7 June and a search was ongoing to gather furtherinformation about him was released on 6 June.

As information was received that terrorist insurgents burnt him to death on Mindat-Matupiroad, U Lein Law, the aide of Taungbulu Monastery, and local people made a search to confirm the case on 11 June. During the search, they found the charred human remains and the Sayadaw’s car in a forest about 500 feet from the left side of the road at about 27 miles seven furlongs. So, they could confirm the murder.

Mindat Myoma police station filed a legal case to capture the persons guilty of brutally murdering an innocent monk on the mission to promote and propagate the Sasana. Terrorist insurgents have even brutally murdered monks, apart from innocent civilians, in committing inhuman terrorist acts. Hence, security troops are extending their security patrols in cooperation with the local people for ensuring regional peace and stability and community security.
