Training courses to be conducted to develop tea industry

“Training courses will be conducted  for  tea  growers  and producers to develop tea sector,” said U Lin Pyae Tun, secretary of Myanmar Tea Association.

There will be three courses designed to develop the country’s tea industry in six months to come and any member of the association can enlist.

“The three courses are about making safe and hygienic foodstuffs, producing basic dried tea, sampling and testing dried tea and chemical reaction in producing tea for health benefits,” said the association secretary.

Efforts will also be made to achieve progress and success in producing tea in accord with Myanmar’s traditional tea culture and seeking international market.

“We have arranged those courses but they have yet to come due to the COVID-19 outbreak. So, courses will be available depending on the situation.

Most tea producers take interest in training on chemical reaction in tea production,” he added.

Producing tea in line with Myanmar traditional tea culture and modern technology through cooperation of partner organizations will further develop the tea industry and gain market opportunities.
