Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in- Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met officers, other ranks and families of Magway and Meiktila stations today at the respective station halls at separate meetings.
Present were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Central Command Brig-Gen Ko Ko Oo and officers, other ranks and families of Magway and Meiktila stations.
In his addresses, the Vice-Senior General spoke of the need to prevent COVID-19 through individual awareness and healthy eating and livingsyles. He then explained the Tatmadaw’s regular provision of various kinds of rations for a period of three months at a time and warned Tatmadaw members against any act that may break up the inter unit unity.
He also pointed out the need to live in unity with a family spirit and to help and protect each other, to thoroughly study the announcements issued by the election commission to ensure that every vote they cast at the general election to be held on 8 November is a confirmed vote, to make a systematic study of candidates in choosing the ones who can serve the interest of the country and the region, who have the education level for lawmaking and who have the required legal knowledge, who can observe and safeguard Our Three Main National Causes, who can understand and support the Tatmadaw’s leading role in the nation’s cause, who can protect and preserve the nationality, language and religion, and who are free from any intentional behind-the-curtain support, to independently cast their vote, to try to understand the policies while strictly following the orders and directives of the Commanderin- Chief of Defence Services and to implement them successfully and to preserve and relay the fine traditions in connection with the three capabilities.
The Vice-Senior General and party then presented food, fiction and non-fiction books and periodicals and sports equipment for officers, other ranks and families of the two stations through the officials of the respective stations.
They then visited the Military Hospital in Magway, cordially asked after the health of patients and provided foodstuff for them.
