Arms, ammunition and related equipment seized from KIA in Waingmaw Township

A Tatmadaw column discharging security duty in Waingmaw Town-ship in Kachin State was fired on by
KIA insurgents at a place about three miles northwest of Nanhsannyan Village at about noon on 29 November. When the Tatmadaw column returned fire, the insurgents fled towards the southwest. Then, the Tatmadaw column seized a temporary camp of the insurgents.
When the Tatmadaw members of the column made a search in and around the camp, they found a dead person in KIA uniform, one 107mm launcher made by KIA and one shell, one 60mm motor, four 60mm shells, four M-22s, 24 M-22 magazines, 216 M-22 cartridges, two hand grenades, 19 remote buttons, 22 circuits including batteries, one binoculars, two walkie- talkies, 12 huts, 20 foxholes and related equipment.
The Tatmadaw columns are taking area control and security measures in the area.
