A China-Myanmar photo exhi-bition marking the 70th anniversary of friendship between the two Asian neighbours opened at the Strand Hotel on Strand Road in Yangon this morning, crowded with the large number of visitors, according to the Shwe Thanlwin Media, the main organizer of the event.
“As the Head of State of the People’s Republic of China will visit Myanmar in the near future and the two countries have main-tained the bilateral friendly ties for 70 years in a row, the China-Myanmar relations will surely be stronger in the future.China-Myanmar corridor being implemented by both countries will bring rapid progress to the area. People can enjoy the photos proving the cordial relations between the two neighbours, sharing a common land border, and showing the cultures, traditions and natural sceneries of Myanmar and China,” said Dr Thein Than Oo, Senior Executive Director of Shwe Thanlwin Media “At the opening ceremony held in the morning, Mr. Xu Lin, Vice Minister of the State Council Information Office (SCIO) of the People’s Republic of China, U Ye Naing, Director-General of Infor-mation and Public Relations Department (IPRD), the head of foreign
languages department of China, the counselor and officials of the Embassy of PRC to Myanmar, andofficials of Yangon Chinese Centre and Shwe Thanlwin Media were present. After the opening ceremony, the honoured guests then looked around the exhibition.
The China-Myanmar photo exhibition showcases the beautiful natural sceneries of Myanmar and China, fine pictures illustrating the cultures, architecture and welfare activities of the peoples of the two countries, the bilateral people-to-people dealings and relations, the cultural diversity of the both countries, and the historical photos of the leaders of both countries who have a vital role in establishing or maintaining the bilateral friendly relations from the past to the present. The exhibition displays over 100 photos. China-Myanmar photo exhibition continues at the Chinese Cultural Centre at No. 39 Minyekyawswa Street, Ah lon Township in Yangon, after the opening ceremony was held at the Strand Hotel this morning.
