AA terrorists fire at Kintaung Village in Buthidaung Township with use of heavy weapons, leaving two villagers dead, seven injured

AA terrorists opened fire with use of heavy weapons at Kintaung Village in Buthidaung Township without reasons at about 1.20 am on 25 January 2020, leaving two villagers of Kintaung dead and seven injured.

AA terrorists fired at Phonnyoleik Bridge in Buthidaung Township where Tatmadaw members and police members were discharging security duty, at about 1.20 am on 25 January. Security forces carried out counterfire to the northeast ward where AA terrorists took two positions about 1,000 metres northeast of the bridge. In the incident, shells of heavy weapons fell into Kintaung Village and blasted. Hence, Ma Nuhaba, daughter of Adunawbi from the village died on the spot of injuries of heavy weapon shells. Ma Ohmahabi, daughter of Hamatusaung was rushed to Buthidaung Hospital but she died of injuries at the hospital. And, seven persons including Jamalusaung, son of Shawshitamauk were injured in the incident.

While attacking the Tatmadaw military columns, AA terrorists committed firing at Bengali villages with the use of heavy weapons and planting mines. During the period from December 2019 and January 2020, AA terrorists disturbed and fired at Phonnyoleik Bridge about five times. Moreover, AA terrorists shot dead Hamid Husawng, son of Mamud Salam from Hteiktupauk Village on 28 August 2019 due to lack of support to them. On 7 January 2020, four children from Hteiktupauk Village were killed and six persons including teacherAlizuharh, son of Suta Ahmad injured in the blast of mine planted by AA terrorists.

Security troops and those from social organizations sent the injured to the people’s hospital in Buthidaung Township to receive medical treatment and provided necessary assistance to them.
