The Tatmadaw donates aids for prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 to people's hospitals, station hospitals, rural health centres, ethnic armed organizations and ethnics from self-administered regions and expedites its participation in prevention, control and treatment of the disease with might and main.

 

Today, Commander of North-East Command Maj-Gen Aung Zaw Aye and officials presented medical supplies donated by families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) for prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 for ethnic people in Kokang Self-Administered Zone at the office of the leading body in Laukkai of Kokang Self-Administered Zone. They were heartily welcomed by Leading Body Chairman of the zone U Kyauk Tel Chan and party.

 

The commander of North-East Command explained the purpose of donations for aids of prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 and presented 10,000 surgical masks, 500 N95 masks, 250 face shields, five containers of Sodium Hypochloride (15L), 100 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE), 1,000 pairs of examination gloves, 150 bottles of hand gel and 150 bottles of hand sanitizer, and foodstuffs of the Commander-in- Chief of Defence Services. Leading Body Chairman U Kyauk Tel Chan and town elders accepted the donations.

 

In expressing thanks, U Kyauk Tel Chan said he saw families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) donate equipment for prevention, control and treatment to various regions during the period of breaking out COVID-19 and fulfilling other requirements. He on behalf of the local people thanked the Tatmadaw which makes  donations to their region by taking a time. The local ethnics will always remember the help of the Tatmadaw whenever the region faces difficulties. He expressed thanks to Commanderin-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. He pledged to systematically distribute the donated equipment in actually necessary areas.

 

Likewise, the commander and officials presented equipment for prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 such as 10,000 surgical masks, 500 N95 masks, 250 face shields, five containers of Sodium Hypochloride (15L), 100 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE), 1,000 pairs of examination gloves, 150 bottles of hand gel and 150 bottles of hand sanitizer to Kaungkha Station People's Hospital.

 

Kutkai People's Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Daw Wint Wint Myaing accepted them and spoke words of thanks.
