Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win meets chairman and members of Yangon Region Administration Council, chairmen of district/township administrat

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met with the chairman and members of  Yangon Region Administration Council, chairmen of district/ township administration councils and delivered a speech at the Yangon Region Administration Council Office this afternoon.

Present at the meeting were SAC member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Chairman U Hla Soe of Yangon Region Administration Council, Lt-Gen Thet Pon and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the commander of Yangon Command, members of Yangon Region Administration Council, chairmen of district and township administration councils and officials.

First, Chairman U Hla Soe and members of Yangon Re-gion Administration Council introduced themselves to the Vice-Senior General. Then, the chairman reported to the ViceSenior General on administration, security, the rule of law and
prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 in the region. Afterwards, chairmen of district administration councils reported to the Vice-Senior General on measures taken for security in respective districts.

Then, the Vice-Senior General gave instructions on urgent implementation of policies and directives of the chairman of the SAC within a short period and the need to realize political developments by responsible officials and to share the understanding with officers and staff at lower ranks.

The Vice-Senior General pointed out the need to cooperate not only among the Tatmadaw, the police and administrative bodies but also with the public for the stability and the rule of law in the region, to launch educative campaigns on laws, rules and regulations to prevent terrorist acts, to take effective action against violators by investigating, disclosing and arresting them in accord with the law, to perform duties assigned to respective departments loyally and honestly, to cooperate for successful implementation of Pankhin project, which aims to issue national registration cards to those who still do not have one, as issuance of the NRC to each and every citizen is essential for successful holding of elections, to strictly follow rules and regulations in monitoring and testing as the number of COVID-19 cases in neighbouring countries is rising, to educate the public on following the orders and directives for prevention of COVID-19 issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports as self-prevention of individuals is essential in prevention of the pandemic and to take necessary measures by responsible officials and organizations to fulfill the needs in preparing quarantine centres.

Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General and party went to the Military Orthopaedic Hospital and the Military Hospital (1,000-bed) in Mingaladon Station in Yangon Region and spoke words of comfort and encouragement to officers, other ranks and members of Myanmar Police Force receiving treatments there by asking after their conditions  and treatments individually and presenting foodstuffs.
