Information Team of State Administration Council holds 19/2022 press conference

    The Information Team of State Administration Council held its 19/2022 press conference at the Ministry of Information this afternoon in Nay Pyi Taw. Leader of the Information Team Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Member of Union Election Commission U Khin Maung Oo, departmental spokespersons and representatives of information teams of government departments attended the press conference and replied to questions raised by news media.

Firstly, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun gave a wide-range of powerpoint presentation on the Meeting 2/2022 of National Defence and Security Council held on July 31, measures being taken and to be taken by the State Administration Council in accordance with the five-point roadmap, measures being taken by the State Administration Council to achieve success on implementation of the two national tasks and the two political tasks, meetings of the Union Government together with union ministers, chief ministers of regions and states and chairmen of self-administered regions, transfer of funds from the national economic development fund, meetings and talks between the Prime Minister and 10 EAOs and the relevant agreements signed and tasks being taken for the second meetings and talks, Myanmar’s practice on her foreign policy as per the Constitution, the working visit of the Foreign Minister of Russian Federation to Myanmar and his meeting with the Prime Minister, participation of Myanmar Tatmadaw teams in International Army Game-2022 and 3rd CISM World Cadet Games being held in Russia Federation and medals won by the teams, Myanmar’s position to assuredly stand with China as a good neighbour and strategic partner, measures taken in respect of the 55th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting and relevant meetings, plans and tasks being carried out to be able to attach technical and vocational training schools at basic education high schools in 50 districts, terror acts of NUG and PDF terrorist groups in some regions and others.

Afterwards, Member of Union Election Commission U Khin Maung Oo also gave a power-point presentation on electoral activities of 2020 General Election, action taken against those who were involved in electoral fraud and malpractice and unfairness and injustice acts and completion of the task to check and ensure voter lists with the onground population data.

Later, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, U Khin Maung Oo and representatives of departmental information teams replied the questions raised by reporters from news agencies.

The press conference was attended by members of the Information Team, representatives of ministries, officials of the Tatmadaw Information Team, guests, and reporters from local news agencies, dailies, local TV broadcasting stations and locally-based foreign news agencies.
