Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits summer basic sports course in Sittwe

Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by entourage on the trip, Chief Minister of Rakhine State U Htein Lin, the Commander of Western Command and officials, visited summer basic sports course being conducted by the Rakhine State Sports and Physical Education Committee at Danyawady Stadium in Sittwe this morning and watched sports demonstration of trainees of the course.

Firstly, the Senior General was saluted by instructors and trainees of the summer course.

Then, the Senior General and party enjoyed a demonstration by the trainees of the summer sports course.

After that, the Senior General presented foodstuffs for the trainees through two representatives of the trainees.

Afterwards, the Senior General gave necessary instructions on the sports ground and development of sports to officials concerned.

The summer sports course is aimed to ensure that the youths will have sports spirit as well as physical, spiritual and moral development and that the national sports standard will be higher and that the students will profitably spend the summer school holiday. The course started on March 1 and will conclude on April 5. Sixteen kinds of sports are being taught to 1,820 trainees in the course.
