NAY PYI TAW April 8

Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and the commander of Eastern Command, met instructors and trainees of Military Computer and Technological Institute in Hopong Station at the institute’s training hall this afternoon.

In his address delivered at the meeting, the Vice-Senior General spoke of malpractice in voter list in the 2020 General Election to unjustly win the election, ignorance by officials including the then UEC over the request to solve the malpractice, other parties’ request to the Tatmadaw to solve the issue, summoning the Hluttaw to forcibly take the power without solving the malpractice in voter list, and the Tatmadaw’s move to take the responsibilities of the State in accordance with the 2008 Constitution in order that the democracy system will not be unsteady.

He said the trainees are to study the subject they learnt to be professionally skilful as they will be used as engineering experts needed in the units of the Tatmadaw. It is necessary for them to effectively apply the academic subjects they learnt in the practical field.

It is necessary to fully help engineering matters in the development tasks of the region you are posted as well as those for engineering related human resources. Despite the academic learners, as the trainees are in Tatmadaw uniform pledging the Four Solemn Vow of the Tatmadaw, they are to exactly follow the order, directive and rules of the Tatmadaw. As it is the Tatmadaw who are well-disciplined and follow the order well, it has defended various threats and dangers to the nation toweringly since it was formed. The basic point of discipline is to do what to do and not to do what is prohibited. It is necessary for you and your family to stay away from prohibition such as narcotic drugs and gambling. In discharging duties, it is necessary not to take unlawful acts to maintain the dignity of your school and the Tatmadaw.

Regarding health, it is necessary to do fitness exercises set on a day basis without fail. It is needed to be balanced in physical exercises and nutrition as well as to avoid betel, cigarette and liquor consumption and entertainment behaviour that are harmful to your health.

These days, some are criticizing and attacking the nation in various ways in order that the nation will be under their influence. To become a puppet government, some organizations supporting terrorism and some powerful countries are apparently instigating the organizations that are with a firm proof as terrorist groups. As some media are propagandizing lies with the assistance from such countries, it is necessary to let your families read good literature and know true news in order that they will realize what is right and what is wrong and analyse what is true and what is false.

It is learnt that financial issues were found in some cases breaching the military rules. According  to  the  20  Code  of Conduct, it is necessary for a serviceman to be on his budget and to stay away from the gambling. It is to be aware that such financial issues, gambling and entertainment behaviour cause harmfulness to the security of the Tatmadaw.

In building a modern Tatmadaw, the role of intellectuals and intelligentsia has become more inclusive and important. It is necessary not to be content with what you have learnt and to constantly make efforts to be more skilful.

After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General presented foodstuffs manufactured by Tatmadaw factories to the instructors and trainees through officials and Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye sports wares and equipment.

Later, the Vice-Senior General and party cordially greeted the instructors and trainees.
