Political developments and endeavors for economic growth The Senior General said Tatmadaw has to shoulder State duties due to a certain political situation and during the time COVID-19 was severe and economy was in downturn. On the surface, the economy looked good due to the practice of democracy, but in reality the country’s external debt was high, and the national economy was shirking due to the weakness in administration. Hence,

the Tatmadaw gave priority to economic promotion. It launched COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities with added momentum. Thanks to dutiful health staff, social organizations and the public and the assistance of neighbouring countries and friendly countries the infection could be put under control in a certain length of time.

The country did not face food problems as farming is its main business. In the past trade deficit occurred as volume of the country’s imports were too high and an imbalanced ratio between income and expenditure. SAC is repaying the external debts to the most possible degree.

Now the national economy is showing a plus sigh. A country has two sources of income trade income and non trading income. It needs to reach the tax revenue target. The government in office could collect the outstanding taxes. As there will be other income sources, the national economy will surely grow.

Peace and stability Tatmadaw needs to bring progress, peace and stability to the country. In this regard, it will make peace with EAOs.

There are NCA signatory EAOs as well as non signatory EAOs. Tatmadaw must try to bring the latter to join the peace process.

It will also have to eradicate PDF terrorists appeared due to political disagreements.

Organizations that are abetting the terrorist group are fueling hatred through social media.

Tatmadaw cooperated with the democracy government in government functions. Thanks to its appropriate measures Tatmadaw could improve its structure.

Assumption of State duties in accord with Constitution NAY PYI TAW May 12 Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets officers, other ranks and families of Kengtung Station, Triangle Region Command There were instances in which the previous government used media to generate public hatred towards Tatmadaw through misinterpretation. It applied dishonest means to assure a win in the 2020 multiparty general election. Tatmadaw had to check the voter lists.

Officials ignored the notice to solve the problem. Instead, they tried to convene the parliament and take over the State power by force. Hence, Tatmadaw has to assume the State duties in accord with the Constitution.

According to its roadmap, SAC will hold an election and transfer power to the winning party.

Tatmadaw must conduct counterterrorism campaigns in accord with the law.

Systematic lifestyle, high education standards, health and fitness All Tatmadaw personnel are required to be prepared for combat readiness. It is necessary for them to carry out tasks for health and fitness of individual personnel daily and adopting traditional practices amounts to self training. Performing duties in accordance with disciplines under any circumstances enhances one's capabilities. If leaders of units, senior commanders and commanders, constantly inspect units under their command and monitor them to fulfill their needs, units will always be ready for combat. Measures must be taken to enable personnel to lead systematic lives. If patriotism can be instilled in personnel who love the Tatma-daw, new blood for the country can be created. Commanders are required to inspire the love and admiration for the Tatmadaw not only in Tatmadaw personnel but also in Tatmadaw families.

The Tatmadaw always takes measures to provide food and shelter for Tatmadaw personnel and families and to enhance the education standards of students from Tatmadaw families. It is important for all students from Tatmadaw families to go to school when schools are reopened.

Taking measures to enhance their education standards aims to enable them to stand on their own feet all their lives on a selfhelp basis. Parents are responsible for helping their children stand on their own feet and acquire education. At present, technical and agriculture and livestock breeding high schools have been opened and courses are being conducted. Outstanding students from the high schools can continue to study at institutes, colleges and universities for respective academic disciplines and earn a livelihood. It is necessary to take measures to enable students from Tatmadaw families to study at such schools.

As for the health sector, the country has been able to control the outbreak of COVID-19 but it is necessary to be cautious about the outbreak in daily lives and adopt a healthy lifestyle as the pandemic has resurged recently. Individuals are required to adopt good living and eating habits and to eat enough nutrient food provided by the Tatmadaw.

By leading cautious lives out of conscience for food and pleasures, one will be a person who is healthy and fit. Only then, will you be able to perform national defence duties to the fullest extent. Every individual is urged to lead a life out of conscience and conscientiousness.
