Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win delivers address at Second Coordination Meeting of Central Committee for Organizing 76th Anniversary of Independence Day (2024)

    The second coordination meeting of the Central Committee for Organizing the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day (2024) was held at the Office of Chairman of State Administration Council today at 2:30 pm in Nay Pyi Taw, and Chairman of the Central Committee for Organizing the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win delivered a speech at the meeting.

Also present at the meeting were the union ministers who are members of the Central Committee, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, deputy ministers, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and officials. Secretaries of sub-committees attended it via video conferencing.

In his speech at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister said that today's meeting is the second meeting on organizing the ceremony to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day. The first meeting was held on October 10, and the sub-committees concerned presented reports on tasks being taken and the need on their reports were fulfilled.

Regarding the ceremony to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day, approval on the schedules on invitation, erecting poster signs, flag raising ceremony, reading the message, and invitation to the dinner has been obtained from the Prime Minister.

It is necessary to discuss matters on holding a sports competition to commemorate the Independence Day and holding a youth literary and arts festival.

Since there are only 27 days to go for holding the ceremony, it is necessary to make preparations in detail without having any gaps. Regarding security, in addition to the original plan, it is necessary to closely supervise and scrutinize measures on individual security, security of the area and security of the whole ceremony in detail. The sub-committees are to submit and discuss the sector-wise measures taken and the needs to be fulfilled.

Then, the respective subcommittees reported on their sector-wise tasks to be able to successfully hold the ceremony to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of the Independence Day 2024.

Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General made coordination on their reports and discussions and gave concluding remarks.
