Organizations issue statements strongly condemning destruction of pagoda at entrance to Namhsan, robbery of jewels enshrined as religious objects in it by TNLA

Terrorist insurgent organizations have committed acts that insulted Buddhism by destroying pagodas, zedis, stupas and religious edifices revered by Buddhists by dropping bombs on, firing heavy weapons at and building defence posts near the religious structures.

Recently, the TNLA terrorist insurgent organization destroyed a pagoda built on a hill near the entrance to Namhsan in Shan State (North) by using a backhoe and robbed religious objects enshrined in the pagoda.

As such insulting destructive acts that target the religious belief of Buddhists savagely and rudely with the aim of attacking the religion are completely unacceptable, the Young Men's Buddhist Association (Headquarters), the Interfaith Dialogue Group (Headquarters), the Myanmar Evangelical Alliance, the Myanmar Methodist Church (Lower Myanmar), the Faith Evangelical Church (Bago), Deliverance Church (Yangon), the All Myanmar Hindu Council, the All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation (Headquarters), the Sandhadhammapalaka (Hindu) Association, the All Myanmar Islam Association, the Painnegon Rakhine Jamae Mosque, the Buthidaung-Maungtaw Development Association, the Myanmar War Veterans Association, the Myanmar News Media Council, the Myanmar Sports Media Association, the Myanmar Motion Pictures Association, the Myanmar Music Association (Headquarters), the Myanmar Art and Sculpture Association (Headquarters), the Myanmar Thabin Association (Headquarters), the Myanmar Comedians Association and the Myanmar Writers Association strongly condemned such acts by issuing their
