79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day pre honorary dinner hosted

Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in- Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted a pre honorary dinner to mark the 2024 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day at the square in front of Zeyathiri Villa here this evening.
Fireworks were displayed from Military Parade Ground and Bayintnaung Yeiktha to honour 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day.
The Senior General and wife cordially greeted the attendees, Deputy Minister of Defence of Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin and party, SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and wife, the SAC Secretary and wife, the Joint SAC Secretary and wife, SAC members and wives, union level officials, union ministers and wives, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, families of Thirty Comrades, families of retired commanders in chief, retired senior military officers (Army, Navy and Air), Independence Grade I, Grade II and Grade II Hmawgun Award winners, advisers, deputy ministers, retired Tatmadaw member ambassadors, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, military attaches and officials of foreign missions, representatives of NCA signatory EAOs, chairs and officials of political parties, families and relatives of Aung San Thuriya Title holders, Thiha Thura, Thura and military gallantry title and gallantry certificate winner soldiers and families and relatives, members of Myanmar War Veterans Organization members of people’s militia (transformed), original people’s militia, border guard central advisory and control group, officials of Myanmar Police Force, fire brigade and Myanmar Red Cross Society, officials and staff of ministries, officials of YMBA, Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation, Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association and Interfaith Friendship Association (Central), artistes who took party in movies honouring the Armed Forces Day, winners of marching song, military song, poem, short story, novel competitions donors of Armed Forces Day, officials of Myanmar Press Council, Motion Picture, Thabin and Music associations, members of universities training corps, teachers and students of National Races Development University and invited guests.
Artistes and Myawady music troupe of Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare, Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), and civilian artistes staged entertainment programs before and during the dinner.
After the dinner, the Senior General and party cordially greeted the attendees. Fireworks were displayed to mark the success of the ceremony.
The Senior General and wife and attendees enjoyed the play “With these hands” staged by male and female soldiers under the command of DPRPW at the Thabin Hall of the villa.

In honour of the 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, military bands of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and military commands, figures of military vessels, helicopters, armoured cars along the entrance road of Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), and the statues of the kings who founded the first,
second and third Myanmar kingdoms were illuminated with multi colour lights. Attendees of the dinner watched the illuminated decorations with so much pleasure.
