Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the SAC Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw this morning.
Also present together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and officials. Mr. Deng Xijun was accompanied by officials from the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar.
Both sides discussed the State’s efforts for conducting peace talks with ethnic armed groups for the border region and internal stability, and Chinese assistance in the peace process, bilateral cooperation for drug prevention and the elimination of online gambling and fraud, border trade matters and the political developments in Myanmar.
After the meeting, the Senior General and Mr. Deng Xijun posed for a documentary photo with those in attendance.
