Parade columns rehearse in full dress for parade of 76th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day

The parade columns that will be participating in the parade of the 76th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day which will fall on 27 March 2021 had a full-dress rehearsal this morning at the Nay Pyi Taw military parade ground.

The columns of Anawrahta, Kyansittha, Bayintnaung, Aung Zeya, Hsinbyu Shin, Bandoola and Aung San led by parade commander Maj-Gen Soe Min Oo marched towards the parade ground along with the military band playing and singing military songs, according to the military parade agenda.

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, council members General Mya Tun Oo, Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Chairman of the Leading Committee for Organizing the 76th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and senior military officers, Chairman of the Management Committee for Organizing the 76th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Myo Tin and officials inspected the rehearsal. After the rehearsal, the Vice-Senior General in coordination with officials attended to the needs.

Those participating in the rehearsal were officers and other ranks and women troops from the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and Myanmar Police Force,Navy SEALs, Women’s Special Task Forces, mechanized forces of Tatmadaw (Army) and Tatmadaw (Navy) and fighters and helicopters from Tatmadaw (Air). The parade columns had their full-dress rehearsal depicting the three eras: the silver jubilee from independence struggle when the Tatmadaw was established to 1970, the golden jubilee from 1970 to 1995 and the diamond jubilee from 1995 to 2020 by wearing different badges and uniforms of Myanmar Tatmadaw and holding different military weapons and equipment including today’s modern ones to build a modern Tatmadaw that were used in those successive eras.
