Announcement of the Central Committee for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Prevention, Control and Treatment
(15th waxing of Waso, 1383)
(23 July, 2021)
1. The State Administration Council announced the days from 26 July to 1 August as public holidays under Notification No. 217/2021 dated 23-7-2021.
2. During the public holidays, people must stay in accord with the following rules to effectively halt COVID-19 infection:
(a) To stay put at their homes or hostels, except from on-duty cases and funeral services
(b) To open Central Bank of Myanmar and government banks and private banks under it in all workdays as usual
(c) To run factories under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, Nay Pyi Taw Council and respective region
and state administration councils in accord with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports to maintain production
capacity
(d) In order to continue the essential office work, arrangements should be made to carry them out through the work-from-home system or other
suitable means
(e) To open only the essential shops such as filling stations, purified water shops, fish and meat shops and shops selling other basic commodities
(f) To open shops selling medicines and medical equipment
(g) To adopt takeaway system for restaurants
(h) To continue providing healthcare services (government hospitals, private hospitals and clinics)
(i) For those needing to go outside essentially, wear protective suit without fail including masks
(j) To allow operation of vehicles in all modes of transport under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Nay Pyi
Taw, region and state administration councils for the convenience of essential travellers
(k) For cargo trucks to operate in accord with the standard operation procedure (SOP) to ensure smooth commodity flow
(l) For jetties handling goods to remain operative
(m) To exactly follow the COVID-19 rules issued by the Central Committee for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Prevention, Control and Treatment
and the Ministry of Health and Sports
3. Action will be taken in accord with the existing law for failure to follow the above rules and disciplines.
