State Administration Council Information Team holds 6/2021 press conference


The 6/2021 Press Conference of the Information Team of the State Administration Council was held at the Ministry of Information this afternoon and leader of the team Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, member of the Union Election Com-mission U Khin Maung Oo, spokespersons from ministries and representatives of information teams from de-partments responded to queries raised by the media.

Before the press conference, responsible officials took ne-cessary healthcare measures to prevent the transmission of the pandemic and accommo-dated them at places arranged at a designated distance apart.

Then, Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun explained the opening of schools in the entire country, important excerpts from the interview with the Comman-der-in-Chief of Defence Services by the Phoenix Media of China, redesignation of fiscal year and holidays, involve-ments of some EAOs in sup-port and training for terrorism, statements of the NUG, CRPH and PDF and conse-quences of the statements. During his briefing, Maj-Gen Zaw Min  Tun  comprehensively  pointed out inconsistencies between the fabricated incite-ments and fake news spread online and reality through Power Point presentations and videos clips of confessions of those who were involved in bombings and terrorist acts so that the media could view them clearly.

Afterwards, U Khin Maung Oo, member of Union Election Commission, clarified the state of scrutinizing and proclaim-ing lists of voters and ballot-papers, findings  while they were scrutinized, unlawful acts in 2020 General Election, sta-te of the current tasks being carried out by the Union Elec-tion Commission and tasks to be continued with the help of power point presentation.

Then, Maj-General Zaw Min Tun, U Khin Maung Oo and respresentatives of departmental information teams re-plied to questions raised by journalists from news agencies at the event.

Documents and evidences on the press conference for the reference of journalist, current actions being taken by the Union Election Com-mission, and findings through practically scrutinizing lists of vote were on display at the event. The people who attended the event studied them.

The press conferece was attended by members of Information Team of the State Administration  Council, representatives of respective mini-stries, officials of Tatmadaw True News Information Team, guests, journalists from domestic news agencies, dailies, do-mestic TV channels and locally based foreign news agencies.
