Delegation led by State Administration Council Vice Chairman Deputy Commanderin-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win attended the closing ceremony of the International Army Games-2021 held at Congress Centre in Patriotic Park, Moscow yesterday afternoon.
First, the Vice-Senior General and party, together with other attendees, observed the final event of Tank Biathlon (Division- 1) in which tank troops from Russian Federation, China, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan were taking part. Russian team won the first place with one hour 36 minutes 49 seconds, followed by teams from China, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General and party attended the closing ceremony of the International Army Games-2021 and the dinner hosted by Minister of Defence of Russian Federation Army General Kuzhugetovich Shoigu. On behalf of the Minister of Defence, Chief of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defence of Russian Federation Army General Valery Gerasimov expressed pleasure. He also thanked the contestants and the leaders of the countries that sent the participating teams.
Officials presented prizes to the winning teams of Tank Biathlon (Division-1). Afterwards, entertainment programs followed.
Defence Minister Army General Kuzhugetovich Shoigu declared the games closed through video.
Then, the Vice-Senior General and senior military officers of the respective countries who attended the ceremony enjoyed the dinner.
Forty-three countries took part in the International Army Games-2021, which included 34 different types of battle field prowess competitions. The competitions were held in 12 countries including Russia. Myanmar Tatmadaw took part in the games for the fourth time. Its teams took part in Tank Biathlon, battlefield medical troop competition, airborne troop ability competition and Creative Competition.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw team won third prize in Tank Biathlon (Division-2) win with 2 hours 28 minutes 05 seconds. The Myanmar Tatmadaw cultural team won first prize in entertainment competition in traditional dress, second prize in individual Russian song contest, and second prize in the contest reflecting the country’s traditional culture. It also won the third prize in online audience choice. Of the nine participating teams, the Tatmadaw medic team took the sixth place. Of the 18 participating teams, the Tatmadaw airborne troop took the seventh place.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw teams were able to gain competition experience, technological knowledge and friendship from international military teams in the International Army Games. They will also take part in the games in the coming years.
