Vice-Senior General Soe Win offers rice, edible oil, salt, gram and alms donated by families of the Tatmadaw(Army, Navy and Air) to monasteries in Magway, Meiktila

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in- Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and the commander of Central Command, went to monasteries in Magway and Meiktila this morning and afternoon and offered rice, edible oil, salt, gram, Padonma soap, alms and cash for nine prerequisites donated by families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air).

On arrival at respective monasteries, the Vice-Senior General and party paid homage to members of the Sangha led by Presiding Nayaka of Maha Withutayama Monastery in Magway member of the State Central Working Committee of the Sangha Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Tiloka, Patron of Aungmye Yadana Monastery Bhaddanta Vimala, Presiding Nayaka of Sasana Weponla Monastery in Meiktila Joint Secretary of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Kovida and Presiding Nayaka of YadanaU Monastery Bhaddanta Visuddha and offered rice, edible oil, salt and gram donated byfamilies of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air), masks produced by Myanmar Economic Corporation, cakes of Padonma soap produced by Padonma Soap Factory of Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Limited, alms and cash for nine prerequisites. The Vice-Senior General and party also asked after health of the Sayadaw.

Today’s donations comprised 30 bags of rice, 53 viss of edible oil, 46 viss of salt, 79 viss of gram, 300 masks and 80 cakes of Padonma soap for Maha Withutayama Monastery in Magway, 50 bags of rice, 88 viss of edible oil, 77 viss of salt, 132 viss of gram, 6,000 masks and 250 cakes of Padonma soap for Aungmye Yadana Monastery, 50 bags of rice, 88 viss of edible oil, 77 viss of salt, 132 viss of gram, 3,000 masks and 140 cakes of Padonma soap for Sasana Weponla Monastery in Meiktila and 20 bags of rice, 35 viss of edible oil, 31 viss of salt, 53 bags of gram, 1,000 masks, 30 cakes of Padonma soap, alms and cash for nine prerequisites to YadanaU Monastery.
