COVID-19 vaccination continues in Kawthoung Township

Healthcare officials administered COVID-19 vaccines to local people at Badminton Court in Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region yesterday morning.

The vaccination was arranged out by the Kawthoung District and Township Administration bodies with the efforts of the Tatmadaw Medical Corps and health workers from the Kawthoung Township Public Health Department.

A total of 5,425 people, including monks and nuns, district and township-level staff in Kawthoung Township have been vaccinated twice with the Covishield vaccines from India in June 2021.

China-made COVID 19 vaccines, Sinopharm, is now being given to people over the age of 18, who have been vaccinated once for more than 32,000 people and twice for more than 25,000 people.

Vaccination is given to anyone in the township who is registered to be vaccinated and will be vaccinated by vaccination teams regularly in urban areas and villages.
