HEALTHCARE officials gave the second dose of COVID-19 vaccines to local people at Rammawaddy Hall in Asoeya Ward, Kyaukpyu Township in Rakhine State yesterday morning.
Over 18-year-old people, including Buddhist monks and nuns, came and got the vaccines. Fire brigades and volunteers also assisted in the vaccination works, officials said. Vaccination activities are documented by officials followed by measuring body temperatures, blood pressure, and monitoring oxygen level.
Vaccines were given systematically to the local people, and only those with normal conditions are vaccinated. In Kyaukpyu Township, the COVID-19 vaccine is administered in designated areas, and as of 9 November, 16,062 people have been vaccinated twice and the remaining groups will be vaccinated shortly.
Major Tin Aung Kyaw, a member of the township administration body, and officials from various departments visited the vaccination area and gave words of encouragement.
