In the morning of 1 January 2022, Pyi Taw Thar Monastery Abbot U Javana in Sintgaing Township in Mandalay Region live broadcast his birthday party from his Facebook account, Ashin Zawana Facebook Account, kissing his devotees, singing birthday songs, drinking alcohol and dancing in violation of Sangha Vinaya and defiling Buddhism. Therefore, to expose the truth, he and 13 accomplices who defiled Buddhism including Zaw Myo Aung were detained at the house of Zaw Myo Aung at the corner of the 71st Street and 102(A) Street in Myothit Ward-1, Chanmyathazi Township in Mandalay Region, where his birthday party took place, on three January.
According to their confession, it was found that U Javana (a) Zarni Ko Ko wrote posts in support of violent protestors, incited public staff to participate in the CDM and fabricated fake news to destabilize the country.
It was also found that U Javana (a) Zarni Ko Ko used valuable slippers, hand bags, glasses and walking sticks, which are inappropriate for monks and used by lay persons, and posed for model photographs to post on Facebook in violation of Sangha Vinaya.
It was also found that U Javana (a) Zarni Ko Ko, in the name of religion, not only gave advice to and discussed with gamblers but also bet on two and three digit lotteries, involved in illegal gambling such as two and three digit lotteries and soccer matches by lending Ks-80 million donated by wellwishers to Zaw Myo Aung, who
was in need of cash and Zaw Myo Aung organized the birthday party of U Javana (a) Zarni Ko Ko, acted as an owner of gambling services such as two and three digit lotteries, failed to repay home mortgages to banks and cheated money to gether with U Javana.
According to interrogation, it was also found that U Javana (a) Zarni Ko Ko enjoyed same sex intercourses and had same sex with five young lay persons, who are friendly with him.
It was found that U Javana (a) Zarni Ko Ko first had same sex with a 45-year old man in 2002 when he was a novice at Shwe Kyi Nar Monastery in Sintgaing and liked same sex intercourse.
As of 2018, he had same sex with a 17 year old pupil from Hsinaingma Village in Kalewa Township once a week.
He had same sex eight times with a 24-year old man who stayed at the monastery from February to December 2019.
He had same sex with twice with a 23-year old man who stayed at the monastery from June to November 2021.
He had same sex with a 23-year old man and 17- year old man in his bedroom in Pyi Taw Thar Monastery and at the house of Zaw Myo Aung in Chanmyathazi Township on 19 November.
He has had same sex with a 25-year old man who stayed at Pyi Taw Thar Monastery since August 2021.
U Javana (a) Zarni Ko Ko, in the name of Buddhism, not only involved in gambling, unnatural sexual intercourse and inciting from social media to destabilize the country and but also in defiling Buddhism and action will be taken against him under Section 295 and Section 505(a) of the penal code.
