Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win this morning went to Thabeikkyin Station and met with officers, other ranks and families of the station at the station gymnasium.
Also present at the meeting together with the Vice-Senior General were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of CentralCommand Brig-Gen Ko Ko Oo and officers, other ranks and families of Thabeikkyin Station.
At the meeting, the Vice-Senior General delivered a speech, emphasizing collective donations of rice, edible oil, salt, gram and offerings by families of the Tatmadaw (Army,Navy and Air) with goodwill to monasteries facing difficulties formeals during the period of COVID-19 including Buddhist learning centres and nunneries lecturing Pariyatti literature, utmost efforts of theTatmadaw in prevention, treatment and control of COVID-19 which is a natural disaster as national cause with might and main in accord with Section 341 of the constitution, and arrangements for always stockpilingof reserve rations and various items for three months to be supplied to officers, other ranks and families to consume nutritious foods. TheVice-Senior General urged officers,other ranks and families to try to understand announcements of theUnion Election Commission to castthe secured votes in the general election to be held on 8 November.
In electing the public candidates,the Vice-Senior General also noted that it is necessary to cast votes for those who will actually serve the interests of the State and the region,who are qualified for understanding the drawing the bills for legislative measures, who can understand theleading role of the Tatmadaw’s national politics, who are qualifiedfor accepting and implementing Our Three Main National Causesto serve the interests of the State,who are qualified for safeguarding nationality, language and religion and who are clear of background manipulation for any purpose.
The Vice-Senior General stressed the need for them to always study, take practice and follow the lessons to be lectured for the training. He also urged them to understand, follow and successfully implement the guidance and policies of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
The Vice-Senior General and party presented foodstuffs, fiction and non-fiction books, periodicals, sports equipment and masks produced by Tatmadaw factories for officers, other ranks and families of the station to the station commander and officials. After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General and party cordially greeted officers, other ranks and families of the station.
On arrival at the military hospital in Thabeikkyin Station, the Vice-Senior General and party asked other ranks and families receiving treatment at the hospitals about situation of diseases, medical treatment and progress of health conditions in individuals. After giving foodstuffs, the Vice-Senior General and party inspected the hospital.
