Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army),the commanders of Central Comm-and and North-West Command and members, visited people’s hospitals in PyinOoLwin and Pakokku this morning and afternoon and donated medical supplies for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment.
On arrival at PyinOoLwin People’s Hospital, the Vice-Senior General and party received welcome from PyinOoLwin District People’s Hospital medical superintendent Dr Win Pa Pa Win and members. The Vice-Senior General explained the purpose of providing the medical supplies.
The Vice-Senior General presented 100 personal protective equipment (PPE) suits, 120 face shields, 10 pairs of goggles, 2,000 pairs of gloves, 4,400 masks produced by Tatmadaw factories, 200 cakes of Padonma soap and foodstuffs manufactured by Tatmadaw factories which Dr Win Pa Pa Win acce-pted and returned a certificate of honour.
Next, the Vice-Senior General presented Ks-300,000 for cooking meals for hospital staff and patients (Ks-1,500 each for 200). PyinOoLwin Station Commander BrigGen Zaw Hein accepted the cash donation. With the money, station families will cook rice and curries for the hospital staff and patients. Medical superintendent Dr Win Pa Pa Win expressed thanks to families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air)for donating medical supplies for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment.
In the afternoon, Vice-Senior General Soe Win and party went to Pakokku People’s Hospital and presented 100 personal protective equipment (PPE) suits, 200 face shields, 10 pairs of goggles, 2,000 pairs of gloves and 4,000 masks produced by Tatmadaw factories, 200 cakes of Padonma soap and foodstuffs manufactured by Tatmadaw factories. Medical Superintendent Dr Kyaw Naing Win accepted the donations and returned a certificate of honour. Later, the Vice-Senior General and party visited Defence Services Hospital in PyinOoLwin. The Vice-Senior General asked after the health of officers and other ranks receiving medical treatment. The Vice-Senior General then comforted them and provided food.
