Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win today met officers, other ranks and families from PyinOoLwin ,
Pakokku, Yesagyo and Salin stations at respective station halls separately.
Also present at the meetings together with the Vice-Senior General were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of North-West Command Maj-Gen Myo Moe Aung, Commander of Central Command Brig-Gen Ko Ko Oo, officers, other ranks and families of PyinOoLwin Station and Pakokku, Yesagyo and Salin stations.
In his speeches, the Vice-Senior General highlighted needs of individuals to follow disciplines for prevention of COVID-19, arrangements made by the Tatmadaw for consuming nutritious, fresh meat, fish and vegetables for having immune efficiency for prevention of the disease, rising of infection rate of COVID-19 on a daily basis, building the military unity to successfully implement guidance and policies of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, impor-tance of ensuring secured votes in the general election to be held on 8 November, striving for understanding the notifications of the Union Election Commission, and indepen- dently casting secured votes with consideration for electing the can-didates who are qualified for serving the interests of the State, region, language and religion, for accepting and upholding Our Three Main National Causes and for understanding and accepting the leader-ship role of the Tatmadaw in the nation’s cause and those who and organizations which are clear of background manipulation with any purpose.
The Vice-Senior General and party presented foodstuffs, fiction and non-fiction books and sports equipment for officers, other ranks and families of PyinOoLwin,Pakokku, Yesagyo and Salin stations through officials of respective stations.
This morning, the Vice-Senior General went to War Veterans’ Housing in PyinOoLwin and provided rice, edible oil, salt and gram rations to war veterans. The Vice-Senior General attended to the needs after hearing the reports of war veterans.
On arrival at St. Matthew Kachin Baptist Church and St. Mary Cathedral in PyinOoLwin, the Vice-Senior General and party were welcomed by Rev. Z. Gan Je and Father Thomas Tun Win Tun and party.
The Vice-Senior General explained the purpose of donating foodstuffs for the Christian Church and St. Mary Cathedral, possibility of food difficulties for religious leaders during the COVID-19 period because of living in accord with respective rules and ethics, and donation of rations and supplies for preven-tion and control of COVID-19 by Tatmadaw members and families so as to contribute to food sectors of the religious organizations on other hand.
Then, the Vice-Senior General presented 50 bags of rice and 1,000 eggs each for the Christian Church and St. Mary Cathedral to the reverend and the father who spoke words of thanks and gave bless.
