SAC Chairman Prime Minister’s wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attends 2024 Myanmar Women’s Day ceremony

    The 2024 Myanmar Women's Day ceremony was held this morning at the Myanmar International Convention Center II (MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw.

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the Honorary Patron of the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation wife of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister, graced the event with her presence.

The ceremony was attended by Daw Khin Thet Htay and Daw Than Than Nwe, Honorary Patrons of the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation, the wife of the SAC Secretary and the wife of the SAC Joint Secretary, SAC member Daw Dwe Bu, and wives of SAC members, Union-level officials, Union Ministers and their wives, the Auditor General of the Union, the wife of the Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board, the wife of the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, wives of senior military officers, Union Supreme Court judges, members of the Constitutional Tribunal, Deputy Ministers and their wives, the Deputy Auditor

General, members of the Union Civil Service Board, members of the Anti-Corruption Commission, members of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, the wife of the Chairman of the Tax Appeal Tribunal, chairpersons and officials from women’s associations and organizations, departmental heads, award recipients from various sectors, specially invited guests, and other responsible persons.

Initially, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered the opening speech via video message.

After that, Dr. Soe Win, Chairperson of the Myanmar National Committee for Women's Affairs Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement,

explained the initiatives for women's development, the promotion of women's rights, and measures to prevent and respond to violence against women.

Following this, a video clip showcasing the 12 areas of the National Strategic Plan for Women's Development (2023- 2032) was presented.

Subsequently, the outstanding women awards for 2023 in various sectors were presented.

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Honorary Patron of the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation, awarded honorary medals, certificates of honor, and cash awards to Second Lieutenant Daw Yu Yu Naing, the best cadet from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army); Lieutenant Daw Phu Maw Than, the best student from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Navy);

and Captain Daw Wah Wah Maw, who received the commendation award from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Air).

Following this, Daw Khin Thet Htay, an Honorary Patron, presented honorary medals, certificates of honor, and cash awards to Lieutenant Police Major Moe Moe Htun, who received the Outstanding Female Police Officer Award, and to Ma Lawlar Win, who received the Outstanding Disabled Female Athlete Award.

Daw Than Than Nwe, another Honorary Patron, presented honorary medals, certificates of honor, and cash prizes to Ma Hnin Kyel Sin Htun, who achieved the highest score in the Science combination in the nationwide matriculation examination for the 2023-2024 academic year, and Ma Aye Chan Pyae Mon, who achieved the highest score in the Art-Science combination.

The wife of the Secretary of the SAC presented honorary medals, certificates of honor, and cash prizes to the first and second prize winners in the high school level essay competition held in commemoration of the 2024 Myanmar Women's Day.

The wife of the SAC Joint Secretary presented honorary medals, certificates of honor, and cash prizes to the third prize winner in the high school level essay competition and the Outstanding Female Entrepreneur Award winners in commemoration of the 2024 Myanmar Women's Day.

Furthermore, the wives of SAC members, SAC member Daw Dwe Bu, and the Chairperson of the Myanmar National Committee for Women's Affairs presented honorary medals, certificates of honor, and cash prizes to the winners of the Outstanding Female Entrepreneur Award.

Following this, singers from Myanmar Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information performed the song "Women's Committee" in honor of the 2024 Myanmar Women's Day.

Artists from the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture also presented the song "Golden Myanmar, Peaceful and Prosperous" and traditional ethnic dances.

Finally, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, along with the attendees, had group photographs taken and visited the exhibition of products displayed in commemoration of the 2024 Myanmar Women's Day.
