Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received a delegation led by General Direk Bongkarn, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Office of Commander-in-Chief of Royal Thai Army and Head of Army Operations Center of Neighboring Countries Coordination Center(NCCC), at the parlour of Bayintnaung Yeiktha here this afternoon.
At the meeting, views on the improving diplomatic relations and friendship between the two countries and armed forces, enhancing relations and cooperation between the military leaders and senior military officers of both countries, successful holding of level-wise annual meetings between the two militaries, the need to forge government-to-government and military-to-military cooperation in eradicating human trafficking and online scamming at the border, Myanmar’s legal action against illegal trawler and its fishermen of Thailand who fished illegally in Myanmar waters and the desired process, exchange of information for stability of border areas, exchange of friendly visits between the senior military officers of both armed forces and promotion of cooperation were cordially exchanged.
After the meeting, Vice-Senior General Soe Win and General Direk Bongkarn exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for group photos.
Also present together with the Vice-Senior General were Chief of General Staff (Army,Navy and Air) Lt-Gen Kyaw Swa Lin and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. The Thai General was accompanied by senior military officers from Royal Thai Armed Forces and Thai Military Attache (Army) Senior Colonel Thanwit Yomchinda.
