Foreign leaders send messages of condolences to Myanmar leader

    President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Former President of Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari sent message of condolences to Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, expressing extensive loss and damage as well as loss of lives and injuries in the event of powerful Mandalay earthquake which struck on 28 March 2025.

In the messages of condolence, it was expressed deep sorrow and sympathy to the victims and their families of the earthquake that occurred in Myanmar on 28 March.

It conveyed heartfelt condolences for the high number of fatalities and the significant and visible damage and losses caused by the disaster.

The message also expressed a desire to offer emotional support to all those affected by the earthquake through Your Excellency, and sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to all who have been injured.

It further stated deep regret over the loss of lives, homes, and destruction of property resulting from the earthquake.

The messages concluded with confidence that the government and people of Myanmar would successfully carry out rescue, relief, and reconstruction efforts, including the rebuilding of damaged infrastructure.
