Welcoming ceremony, refresher courses for new tutors and demonstrators, teachers held across Myanmar

THE welcoming ceremony for new faculty members and basic education  teachers and the opening ceremony of refresher courses were held yesterday at the Education Degree College in Lashio in northern Shan State, universities in eastern Shan State, including Kengtung University and Kengtung Education Degree College, Kalay University in Sagaing Region, Toungoo Education Degree College and Toungoo University in Bago Region.

COVID-19 patients systematically admitted at quarantine centres for healthcare services

MILITARY hospitals and clinics, transit centres and military training depots in  various areas of the Military Commands are providing healthcare services for the COVID-19 confirmed patients, officials said.

In addition, quarantine centres are also being set up in the relevant townships in collaboration with responsible persons, officials from the Ministry of Health and other departments and charity organizations.

MoC facilitates importation of anti-COVID-19 devices, medicines

The Ministry of Commerce is working hard to ensure people have access to essential medical supplies which are critical to the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities.

Yesterday, one bowser containing 20 tonnes of liquid oxygen, one oxygen plant, 80 oxygen concentrators, 1,000 PPE suits and three tonnes of masks were imported through the Chinshwehaw and Myawady border trade centres.

Afterwards, the Union Minister inspected the campus of the institute and observed the cleanliness of the environment and the preservation of the nearly 100-year-old ancient buildings built in 1924.

Vaccination for above 12-year-old students conducted in Bahan Township

According to the motto “To make every school-age child healthy and happy to study, let’s get vaccinated against COVID-19,” the health officials conducted the vaccination programme using Sinovac vaccines for the students aged 12 and above in Bahan Township of Yangon Region in October.

The township education department and administrator participated in a vaccination campaign for the students, teachers and parents including the entire public.
