Myanmar, Thailand border trade reaches $225.78 mln in FY2021-22

BILATERAL border trade between Myanmar and Thailand reached over US$ 225.78 million as of 22 October in 2021 mini-budget year (October- March), according to the Ministry of Commerce’s report.

The country’s export to Thailand totalled $134.29 million while its import shared $91.48 million during the period.  This financial year’s figures increased by 30.35 billion U.S. dollars, compared to the same period in the last fiscal year.

THE Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) sold US$110 million at its auction rate in October, it is learnt. According to the sales of US dollars in October, the CBM sold $50 million on 18 October and $30 million each on 22 and 26 October.

MYANMAR U-23 men’s national football team beat China Taipei 1-0 in the  AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers at Dolen Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan yesterday.

The victory of this match gave Myanmar hope to win the tourney but they  will have to compete against Viet Nam. As Myanmar and Viet Nam beat China  Taipei 1-0, the winner of the clash will win the tournament and the losing team will have to try to get into the top four.
