All domestic flights suspended at Yangon International Airport

All domestic flights at Terminal (3) of Yangon International Airport have been suspended from 11 September to 1 October, according to Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (YACL), the operator of the airport.

Travellers are advised to contact the Facebook pages and websites of airlines for suspension of domes-tic flights while the YACL is taking necessary measures for the health and safety of travellers at the airport.

Yangon International Airport is situated strategically between India and China, which make up one-third of the population of the world and has expanded its service to meet the requirements of the increasing numbers of travellers.

There are 47 shops and 23 restaurants and has been providing services for 37 international airlines and 38 international flights. Although it was able to provide services for 6.5 million travellers in 2019, the number of travellers has dropped dramatically since the outbreak of COVID-19.
