The outpatient departments of Yangon General Hospital (YGH) will be temporarily moved to No. 2 Basic High School in Latha as of 14 September. Among the outpatient departments that will be moved to the school are Department of Gastroenterology, General Surgery Department (2), Department of General Medicine (1), Department of Haematology, Department of Cardiology, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Department of Memory Disorders, Department of Neurology, Department of Mental Health, Department of Pregnancy Diabetes, Department of General Medicine (2), Department of Cardiology, Department of Hormone Disease Department of General Medicine (3), General Surgery Department (3), Department of General Medicine, Department of Tropical and Communicable Diseases, and Department of Diabetes. Not all the outpatient departments will operate round the week, and the Yangon General Hospital has thus also announced the timetables of the outpatient departments. Only 50 patients will be treated per day at each outpatient department. Transfer letters are required for new patients to receive treatment at the outpatient departments. Hospital authorities are also planning to receive suspected COVID-19 patients at cancer ward of the hospital due to increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in Yangon.
