Yadanarbon Zoo introduces animal adoption program

Following the example of Yangon Zoo, Yadanarbon Zoo in Mandalay has introduced animal adoption program for animal lovers.

People can adopt lion, elephant, hippo, zebra, tiger, camel and croco-dile for one to six months, according to zoo manager U Thein Myint Aung.

“We will issue certificate of adop-tion to those who adopt animals from our zoo. Those who have adopted a particular animal will be allowed to enter the zoo for free,” he said.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received Chief of the Army Staff of India General MM Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC at Zeyathiri Beikman, here, this morning.

Also present at the call together with the Vice-Senior General were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army). General MM Naravane was accompanied by Indian Defence Attaché to Myanmar Colonel Ketan Arun Mohite and officials.
